I was sitting in my backyard when I looked over at the kitchen window and noticed what it reflected. I really loved the bright colors that were coming back at me. I love how the window frame makes the colorful reflection look like a painting of some sort. I also like the contrast between the light wood framing and the bright green and blue of the window. I think having the rectangular window where it is adds emphasis to the detail in the frame.

I was inspired to do this photo in the late afternoon when it was easy to get a shadow. I have skylights outside of my bedroom that casted light downwards, I stuck my hand underneath to see what angle shadow it would produce. Later, an idea popped in my head to use my tennis racket to create a criss cross pattern. When I held my racket up, the frame against the corner of the light created a heart shape. I really loved the texture of the wall combined with the texture heart shadow.
